About This Park
This park in Fort Nelson is bordered by the Alaska Highway, Fort Nelson Heritage Museum and 55th St.
The play-space contains a large play module, a small play module, a hippo climbing toy, a small house play center, dinosaur and grasshopper rocking toys, a small two seat tot swing-set, a large four seat swing-set, a sand box, gazebo and bench and picnic table seating. The large play module has a slide, a rope ladder, monkey bars, and rings. The small play module has two slides, a rope ladder and a fireman’s pole. Beside the play-space there is a treed area for play and shade
The park also includes three plumbed washrooms that are open during the summer months, one
outhouse that is open year round, two full sized baseball diamonds with bleacher seating and covered dugouts, a full sized basketball court, two full sized tennis courts, two full sized beach volleyball courts and a water spray park
