About This Park
Barkerville is the largest living-history museum in western North America with a streetscape of over 125 heritage buildings, authentic displays, satellite museums, restaurants, shops and accommodations. It is named in honour of William “Billy” Barker, a working-class English prospector who, in 1862, spearheaded a twenty-year, multi-billion dollar industrial revolution.
