About This Park

This site is enjoyed by many recreational enthusiasts and the local community for swimming, camping and fishing. It is situated in close proximity to the Bear Lake Community which provides an ideal location for the family to enjoy. This site has 12 campsites in an open environment. The site is easily accessible by two-wheel drive vehicles and offers the basic amenities of tables, fire rings and two pit toilets.

For people with disabilites it is important to note, Davie Lake South is an open, flat, popular site. While the campsites are fairly accessible there are no other accessible amenities. This site could be made more universally accessible by switching out one outhouse (preferably the one in the open on the flat) with an accessible style one and ensuring the path to it is packed and level with the floor of the outhouse. A few extended tables or the ones with the center pedestals would complete the transformation into an accessible wilderness camp site. A bit of grading and packing of sites and access routes would polish things off nicely.
