About This Park

The Fort St John Vistor Information Centre is located in the Pomeroy Sport Centre. It features a souvenir shop, WiFi access, lounge area with water cooler, up-to-date road, weather and event information year-round, public washrooms as well as brochures.  This building features a free walking track, speed skating oval and two professional hockey-size rinks. We are located across from a mall and adjacent to an indoor swimming facility. There are numerous pull-through spots for RV parking. We are one block north of the famous Alaska Highway.

Access Route

From the parking lot: There are accessible parking stalls available with an asphalt access route to the building. The accessible route is over 2 meters wide and has a gentle 1 degree gradient with plenty of width and space. Download Full Accessibility Audit

Washrooms

There are two accessible washrooms in the facility adjacent to the Fort St John Visitors Center. There is a hall on both sides of the sports center and there are washrooms down both of them. In addition to the accessible washrooms there are also public washrooms available. Two are designated family washrooms. The faucets operate on motion sensors.
