About This Park
Masich Place Stadium is centrally located and minutes away from accommodations, food services, medical, and other facilities. The facility was built in 1990 for the BC Summer Games and is home of the Prince George Track and Field Club. The national standard facility includes; 2 washrooms, 4 change rooms with showers, official’s room, offices, concession, first aid room, and covered seating for 1800 spectators. The track and field area was recently upgraded to accommodate more local sports teams over a longer playing season and host provincial and national competitions. The track now consists of 8 lanes made of a rubber surface – 400m with an infield dimension of 68.58m x 91.44m and is lighted. The site also features areas for high jump, triple jump, and pole vaulting. As well, there are throwing areas with cages for shot put, hammer, discus, and javelin. There is a synthetic infield turf with a built in shock pad. Adjacent to the track field there are other full sized and practice sized fields of natural grass. The spectator stands are expected to be upgraded at a later date as well.
