About This Park

Bounded by Rainbow Drive, Ospika Blvd & Stuart Drive. This is a city park built on an *esker. Rainbow Park showcases many of the city’s popular floral displays. The perfect place to enjoy a quiet picnic or photo opportunities for weddings and other special occasions. Rainbow Park is also home to one of two Prince George disc golf courses.

*Esker – a long ridge of gravel and other sediment, typically having a winding course, deposited by meltwater from a retreating glacier or ice sheet.

Access Route

From Ospika Blvd to the gazebo and flower beds. The access route itself is comprised of asphalt. The running slope and cross slope are gentle and flat and typically do not exceed 3 degrees. This is the only relatively flat area of the park. This is a beautiful park however people using mobility devices such as wheelchairs will be disappointed in the lack of accessibility at this park. There is no designated accessible parking. Street parking only with no curb cut to get onto the sidewalk. The gazebo is not accessible. The paths, although firm and stable are narrow. Aside from the gazebo area off of Ospika Blvd the park is not accessible due to steep gradients in excess of 12 degrees in places. Download Full Accessibility Audit
